Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia congratulated Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan on re-election. The message reads, in part:

Accept, please, my sincere congratulations on the occasion of your victory in the presidential elections. People’s trust in you is an evidence of the high estimation of the work you have done as the head of state.
Over the past years Armenia has been steadily moving along the path of economic and social development. Much has been done for the reinforcement of stability in the South Caucasus. We’re glad to see your aspiration to solve the existing problems through diplomatic means, not force.
I would like to stress the good relations established between the Armenian people and the Russian Orthodox Church.
Hoping that the constructive cooperation will be continuous, I wish you robust health and success in your future activity.”
