President of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakyan received first vice-president of the Armenia Chess Federation, international grandmaster Smbat Lputyan.
Issues related to the development of chess in Artsakh were discussed during the meeting.
Special attention was paid to the teaching of chess in schools, which, according to the President, is important for the development of chess itself as well as intellectual and analytical abilities of the younger generation.
NKR minister of education and science Slava Asryan and chairman of the state sports committee Razmik Hovsepyan were present at the meeting, Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President reported.
