Representatives of the observation mission of the International Expert Center for Electoral Systems (ICES) led by its President Alexander Tsinker had a meeting with Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.
The interlocutors discussed issues related to the forthcoming presidential elections, as well as international relations and the influence of the external situation on the election campaign in Armenia.
Members of the ICES mission and the Armenian Foreign Minister held a comparative analysis of the presidential and parliamentary elections. Besides, the international observers analyzed and compared the Armenian electoral system to that with other countries represented in ICES Mission.
The experts stressed the progress in the development of the electoral system in Armenia, particularly the work on the provisions of the Electoral Code adopted in 2011.
