Azerbaijani troops killed an Armenian soldier on Saturday, Armenia’s Defense Ministry said.
“Serviceman Mher Yeghshatyan, 37, was shot dead on February 9 as a result of a ceasefire violation by Azerbaijan,” the Ministry said in a statement.
The incident took place at the north-eastern sector of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
“The Armenian Ministry of Defense shares the grief of the loss and expresses its support to Mher Yeghshatyan’s family, friends and fellow servicemen,” the Ministry said.
