Poet Hovhannes Grigoryan passed away this morning. Grigoryan was born in 1945. He joined the Union of Writers in 1975. He is an author of a number of poems and is a laureate of a many awards. In 1998 he was awarded a Movses Khorenatsi Medal.
The poet suffered from cancer. Last year he got treatment at a specialized medical institution in Israel.
In 2010 he published the collection “Never Die – This is what I’ll tell you,” which won him a State Award in the field of literature and publicism.
