Armenian PM, Head of EU Delegation discuss the process of reforms

Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received the delegation of the EU Advisory Group headed by the Head of EU Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Traian Hristea.

Members of the EU Advisory Group briefed the Prime Minister on the process and results of the negotiations on the creation of a Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area and the Association Agreement. Traian Hristea hailed the effective work in that direction and noted that the 4th stage of DCFTA talks is underway in Brussels.

After the signing of the Association Agreement, Armenia will have a status of an associated country, will, according to Ambassador Hristea, will open new perspectives for our country and will be followed by the adoption of a new Armenia-EU cooperation agenda.

The parties discussed joint programs and reforms implemented in the fields of justice, human rights protection, food security, customs, etc.

Traian Hristea reiterated the willingness of the EU to continue to support our country in the process of implementation of reforms in a number of spheres.
