Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received members of the CIS Election Observation Mission headed by Vladimir Garkun, Deputy Executive Secretary of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
Greeting the guests, Minister Nalbandian attached importance to the activity of the CIS Election Observation Mission and thanked for their attitude towards electoral processes in Armenia.
Vladimir Garkun hailed the conditions created for the implementation of the observation mission and informed that about 170 observers from the CIS will follow the elections. The mission will be headed by CIS Executive Secretary Sergey Lebedev.
Also, the interlocutors touched upon the issues on the agenda of the CIS Foreign Ministers’ Council meeting scheduled for April 4.
