The Central Electoral Commission discussed today the issue of submission of documents by presidential candidates. The CEC decided to provide additional 48 hours to the eight candidates to submit the missing documents. Seven of the candidates have not provided the receipts of payment of the electoral pledges.
Five of the candidates or their representatives said they will use the time to collect the necessary sum, which makes 8 mln AMD.
Two of the candidates – Pavlik Sargsyan and Robert Simonyan –have objections about the amount and the constitutionality of the electoral pledge.
The deadline for the payment of the sum is 2 p.m., January 10.
