Armenian was unanimously elected full member of the UN Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space.
During the consideration of the issue in different UN bodies Azerbaijan had been making efforts to prevent Armenia’s membership. Nevertheless, as a result of successful diplomatic activity in different directions, the UN General Assembly adopted a unanimous decision on Armenia’s full membership in the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space.
According to the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this was another message of the international community addressed to Baku that plans of the Azerbaijani leadership to isolate Armenia are doomed to failure.
