Leader of the “Republic” Party Aram Sargsyan has decided not to run for President. The statement was made at the convention of the Party today.
“I hope my decision will not be considered a result of lack of will,” Aram Sargsyan said.
The leader of the “Republic” Party said they say “no” to the authorities and the presidential elections. He added that they will use the consequences of the elections to unite the forces cherishing liberal ideology, and after February 18 they will participate in all political processes.
Sargsyan said the Party has not made any decision on supporting any of the candidates, Sargsyan said, adding that he will go and cast his ballot. “Some of the members of the party want to boycott the elections and vote against everyone,” he said.
