Co-chair of the Armenian Astronomical Society Areg Mikaelyan today disappointed those who were looking forward to the end of the world. No end of the world and no planet parade are expected tomorrow or in the foreseeable future.
He said, all such talks are unserious. Even if there’s going to be a space catastrophe, it won’t happen in the near future. This is a product of bright human imagination, he said.
The problem is that people are inclined to believe in legends and in some cases they like to exaggerate things, said Lilit Simonyan, research assistant at the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of the Armenian National Academy of Sciences.
