President Serzh Sargsyan received today Alain Delon, one of the legends of world cinematography, who has arrived in Armenia to participate in the premiere of the “Happy New Year, Moms” movie.
The President greeted the guest and noted that the characters created by Alain Delon enjoy great fame and popularity in Armenia, and the centuries-long Armenian-French friendship continues to develop.
The French actor thanked President Serzh Sargsyan for the warm words and hospitality. He underlined that people in France have always been attentive to Armenia, they respect the Armenian culture and history and have a clear stance on the recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide of 1915.
He noted that he followed with great interest the meeting between the Armenian and French Presidents in Paris a month ago, as well as the state visit of ex-President Nicolas Sarkozy to Armenia last year.
As for the film “Happy New Year, Moms,” the actor said he was glad to play a small role in it and added that he was very glad to visit Armenia. Mr. Delon was pleasantly surprised to see how popular and loved he is in Armenia.
The actor was pleased to accept President Serzh Sargsyan’s invitation to visit Armenia again and feminize with our country, which he had heard so much about.
