Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights and Labor Thomas Melia
Greeting the guest, Minister Nalbandian highly appreciated the high-level Armenian-American partnership and hailed the support of the US to the implementation of democratic reforms in Armenia.
The US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State noted, in turn, that his country will continue to support the process of democratic development in Armenia. Edward Nalbandian and Thomas Melia referred to the results of the OSCE Ministerial Council meeting in Dublin and the cooperation within the framework of international organizations.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the reforms implemented in Armenia, the fight against corruption, the efforts targeted at the protection of human rights. Reference was made to the forthcoming presidential elections.
Edward Nalbandian briefed the guest on the latest developments in the process of settlement of the Artsakh issue.
