“The Syrian conflict may be solved next year,” expert in Arabic studies Sargis Grigoryan told reporters today. He has drawn the conclusions from the last-month developments.
“Although Syrian President Bashar al-Assad still manages to oppress the opposition, the later also receives serious support. This assistance will further grow connected with the recognition of the legitimacy of the opposition by the United States,” the expert said.
Sargis Grigoryan said that aside from financial assistance, the Syrian opposition may receive a serious military assistance, as well.
“I think the conflict will move to its settlement in 2013. Assad will concede and leave,” he said.
