President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguli Berdimuhamedov has arrived in Armenia for an official visit. A number of documents were signed today within the framework of the visit. The Presidents of Armenia and Turkmenistan signed a joint declaration. Also, the parties inked agreements on air communication, technical support, collaboration in the spheres of seismic security and agriculture. The parties reiterated the willingness to raise the relations to a new level.
The President of Turkmenistan suggests organizing a business forum next year to boost the development of cooperation. “I think the organization of the forum will give a new impetus to our relations,” Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said, in turn.
The parties stressed their willingness to contribute to the reinforcement of regional and international security and stability.
Speaking to reporters, President Sargsyan said “the principled position of Armenia is that the Karabakh conflict can be solved exceptionally in a peaceful way in compliance with the norms of international law.
Turkmenistan’s President thanked the Armenian president and people for the warm welcome and invited Serzh Sargsyan to pay an official visit toTurkmenistan.
