On November 14 Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan received Deputy Director of Plans, Policy and Strategy,United States European Command, Rear Admiral Mark Montgomery.
Rear Admiral Mark Montgomery’s aimed at summing up the results of cooperation between the Armenian Ministry of Defense and the US European Command in 2012 and determine the main directions of interaction in 2013.
The American side informed that the European Command views Armenia as a reliable partner both within the framework of bilateral military cooperation and the peacekeeping operation in Kosovo. Rear Admiral Mark Montgomery said the European Command intends to further deepen the cooperation in the coming years and prolong the term of Armenia’s involvement in the peacekeeping operation in Kosovo.
Seyran Ohanyan thanked for the effective cooperation, noting that Armenia is ready to continue to develop the cooperation with the US European Command with a view of expanding the training of Armenian troops within the framework of international drills.
