Mir Interstate TV and Radio Company celebrates the 20th anniversary of establishment. On this occasion the Company has prepared a gift for the viewers. A new TV Channel – Mir 24 – will be created on the basis of the Mir Interstate TV and Radio Company, director of its Armenian branch Meruzhan Sargsyan told reporters today.
Mir Interstate TV and Radio Company was founded by nine members of the Commonwealth of Independent States in 1992 following the collapse of the Soviet Union. Today Mir has 72 mln viewers, the number of radio listeners reaches 20 mln.
Mir Interstate TV and Radio Company will present its new Mir 24 TV in January 2013. It will be initially aired on satellite.
An exhibition presenting the 20-year history of the Company has been launched at the Moscow Cinema.
