President Serzh Sargsyan attended the opening of the Armenian Jewellery Exhibition in Yerevan. The exhibition presents the works of both local and more than 70 foreign companies and individuals.
Attending the event were also Gaetano Cavalieri, President of the World Jewelry Confederation (CIBJO) and Gagik Gevorgyan, President of the Armenian Jewellers Foundation.
President Sargsyan walked about the pavilions, watched the items displayed and talked to the participants of the exhibition.
On October 30 Yerevan will host a conference to discuss the perspectives of development of jewellery. The Ministry of Economy will present the strategic projects of development of jewellery, diamond processing, and watch-making within the framework of the export-oriented industrial policy, as well as the possibility of creating a free trade zone on the territory of “Zvartnots” airport with a view of development of the sphere of jewellery.
