The delegation headed by Italian Defense Minister Giampaolo Di Paola is expected to visit Armenia October 16-18. Within the framework of the visit the Italian Defense Minister is expected to have meetings with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan and Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.
Issues related to regional security and the Armenian-Italian cooperation in the field of defense will be discussed. An agreement on defense cooperation between the Governments of Armenia and Italy will be signed.
The Italian delegation is expected to visit Etchmiadzin to meet with His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians.
