Chief architect of the Stepanakert Airport Tigran Barseghyan assures that the airport is super safe and can serve 100 passengers an hour, which means that tens of flights can be operated a day. The airport has good perspectives for development, he said.

Prime Minister Ara Harutyunyan had a meeting with representatives of Armenia’s banking sector yesterday. The issue of financing for the construction works at the airport was discussed.
All in all, $8 bln has been spent on the construction of the Stepanakert airport. Ara Harutyunyan noted during the meeting that the airport would start the first technical flights in a week, adding that the first regular flights could be launched in a month.
