PM Tigran Sarsgyan participates in the sitting of the CIS Heads of Government

The government delegation led by Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan participated in the CIS Council of Heads of Government meeting in Yalta, with over twenty issues on the agenda, Press Office of RA Government reported.

The heads of government adopted an action plan for establishment and development of information society within the CIS framework by 2015. Reference was made to cooperation between the CIS countries in the field of telecommunications.

The meeting adopted complex programs of innovative measures by member-countries for the period 2012-2014.
During a narrow-format meeting, the heads of government backed Uzbekistan’s joining to the Free Trade Agreement, which is expected to be completed by this yearend. A joint statement was signed to the effect that five countries, including Armenia, have ratified the free trade zone agreement.

Prime Minister Sargsyan attended a business conference referred to as “Investment opportunities and economic cooperation within the CIS,” held on the sidelines of “Yalta business meetings.”
